Just one month after its official launch, the iKatsina Digital Public Infrastructure platform has registered over 100,000 Katsina State residents, exceeding the initial monthly target by 25%.
Registrations were recorded across all 34 LGAs, with Katsina, Funtua, and Daura LGAs recording the highest numbers. The platform processed an average of 3,300 new registrations per day.
The Director General of the Katsina ICT Agency attributed the success to community mobilisation efforts and the deployment of mobile registration units to rural areas.
The state government has set a target of 1 million KRID registrations by end of 2026, and at current rates the platform is well on track to achieve this milestone.
