Katsina State's Executive Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, conducted an inspection of the Kafin Soli Water Plant Booster Station during his return journey from Kano. This facility represents a crucial component of the ₦31.8 billion Zobe Water Supply Project (Phase 1B).
The Project Manager from Mutual Construction Company (MCC) guided the Governor through the site, discussing operational status and infrastructure significance. The booster station serves as a major hub within the regional water infrastructure network and facilitates pipeline transmission under the broader Zobe Dam water scheme.
The initiative aims to distribute treated water across multiple local government areas, including Dutsin-Ma, Kankia, Charanchi, Rimi, Batagarawa, Kurfi, and Katsina metropolis. Communities such as Kankia, Tafashiya, Charanchi, and Yan’albasa will benefit from expanded water access.
During the visit, the Governor observed the arrival of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes designated for Phase 1B pipeline installation activities at the Kafin Soli yard.
This project reflects the state government's dedication to expanding access to clean and reliable water supply, strengthening public infrastructure, and improving living conditions across Katsina State.
Governor Radda was accompanied by Chief of Staff Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir and other senior government officials.
